The Homentmen Chapter of Anjar
The Homentmen (HMEM) Anjar club was founded in 1940, by the efforts of Zarmayr Minassian, Aram Hovsepian, and Tatyos Bakkalian. It has its scouts' division, which includes three groups divided according to age.
The scouts’ groups have various activities. They have their weekly meetings, where the members follow different training programs and acquire useful and practical knowledge about different topics. All these are put to practice during the yearly camping.
Also, every year on the Independence Day of Armenia, the 28th of May, the scouts participate in the HMEM march festival which is held in Beirut, with the participation of all the HMEM chapters of Lebanon.
The chapter also has had its football, basketball, and table tennis teams as well as the scouts’ band (Fanfare)
The chapter works through its executive committee and scouts’ councilwho are responsible for organizing and directing the activities of the chapter.
