Traditions

Christmas in Mousa Dagh

On Christmas Eve (January 5), every family would set a special table piled with traditional food, like "Banderoum Houts" and, "Tzitov Pigigh" as well as different appetizers and desserts. This table would remain open for the following three days during which, relatives would pay visits to each other and enjoy the delicious food as a token of respect to the owner of the house. On Christmas Day, all would attend the Mass. Usually, on this day, the troubled people would make up and go to church together.
