Comb Making

Comb making was initially brought to Mousa Dagh from Marash a century earlier. Wooden combs were common and cheaper while combs made from ivory and bones of camels and deer were rare and expensive.

Mousadaghians were expert comb makers and were able to create symmetric combs using plain tools.
The handmade combs were sold to local traders, who in their turn exported it to Aleppo, Damascus, Egypt, etc…
